What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owners.

Under UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), we must obtain your prior consent before placing any cookies on your device that are not strictly necessary for the site to function.

Cookie Categories

Strictly Necessary

Required for the site to function. These cannot be disabled. They include your authentication session token (so you stay logged in) and your consent preference record. No prior consent is required for these under PECR.

Functional

Enhance your experience but are not essential. Currently this covers loading Google Fonts (the Inter typeface) from Google's servers. When enabled, your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com, which may be logged by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We do not receive any data from this connection.

Analytics

Help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. We currently use Microsoft Clarity for session recordings, heatmaps, and click/scroll interaction analytics. Clarity is only loaded after you give analytics consent. Data may be transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. Microsoft's privacy policy: privacy.microsoft.com.

We also use Google Analytics 4 for page view and interaction tracking. Google Analytics is only loaded after you give analytics consent. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Managing Your Preferences

Change your consent at any time

You can update your cookie preferences at any time using the panel below. Your preference is stored locally in your browser for up to 12 months, after which you will be asked again.

Your Current Preferences

You have not yet responded to the cookie consent banner. Your preferences will be shown in the banner at the bottom of the page.

Browser-Level Controls

You can also control cookies at the browser level. All major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and data stored

Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the platform.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, showing the consent banner again.
